Suffolk Times, 2/1/2012 The Federal Aviation Administration is expected to adopt first-ever mandatory helicopter routes, designed to lessen helicopter noise over residences in Long Island, by July 4, 2012 according to U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and U.S. Senator Charles Schumer.
